"EVERYTHING'S AMAZING AND NOBODY'S HAPPY" The current generation alive today is truly the luckiest so far. We are able to do and see and experience far more than our grandparents or great grandparents ever did. Like Louis C.K. said, people in our generation can be ungrateful and just plain spoiled.
The quote that really hit me the most was "Give it a second! It's going to space!" Our technology has advanced so much that information is constantly being sent to and from space in a matter of milliseconds and even then, it's not fast enough for people! I am always hearing stories from my parents about when they were younger in the Philippines and how technology was scarce and much more primitive. One of the many examples would be the Atari that we played with when we were younger. The graphics were horrible and game play itself was strictly arcade.
Today, we can basically say that we would die without the technology we have today. Well, we probably could survive, but we would be extremely handicapped. x) By saying this we also need to look at how excessively we use all our cool gadgets. To the point where sometimes it's just unnecessary.
I don't think I'm creative enough to think of an invention that has not been come up with yet. Since necessity is the mother of invention and most of what I need is already taken care of I can't think of a problem that I can solve through a new invention at the moment.
I think that overall, everyone, and I mean everyone, young and old, technologically challenged or not should just appreciate what we've got. From technology to the lives we live, we should be really really thankful as we live the best we can and make the most out of what our time can give us.
Jesus loves you and so do I (:
